Now that we have provided the products, you need to pick the right look. First, you need to think about your skin type. Is your skin type normal, dry, oily, or combination?
Skin Types:
Normal skin type is usually the perfect middle. It is not too dry or too oily and has little to no imperfections, no severe sensitivity, micropores, and an overall radiant complexion.
Dry skin type tends to be less hydrated with almost invisible pores, a rough and dry complexion, red patches, more visible lines, and a less elastic skin.
Oily skin type often has larger looking pores, a shiny thick complexion, as well as clogged pores and blemishes.
Combination skin type is in-between oily and dry skin. Your skin can have some rough or dry patches and oily areas as well such as your T-zone. With combination skin, your pores appear larger since they are more open, shiny complexion, blackheads.
Now that you know what your skin type is, you can choose the route of foundation you want to take. If you have oily or combination skin type, we recommend a more matte and full coverage look. Also, if your skin is normal or dry, you may want to opt for a dewy glow.
For this trial, we’ll be using Urban Outfitter’s Milk Makeup to show you two different beauty routines that will have you look and feel your best with minimal effort.
First up, we’ll start with the dewy minimal makeup look. For a dewy glow, we usually lean towards makeup “tints” or “tinted moisturizer”. For this look, we’re using Milk Makeup’s Sunshine Skin Tint. Next, their formula is light and breathable, the ideal foundation for a no-makeup makeup look. This tint is for those who do not need full coverage and includes a rollerball applicator for a smooth and cooling experience.
To begin, prime your face with a moisturizer such as Touch In sol’s Toc Toc Toning Capsule Primer. Also, we love this primer since it includes moisture capsules that burst as you prime your skin, making it the best primer for a healthy glowy look and beautifully hydrated skin.
Once the primer is set, begin applying the skin tint. To apply, use the KARAS Blending + Contour Sponge in order to distribute the product evenly or, alternatively use your fingertips gently dabbing. Next, cover up any imperfections or blemishes using Milk Makeup Concealer with its ultra creamy texture. Set the look with Gerard Cosmetics Spray.
Not into the dewy negligible look? Here’s where we opt for a fuller coverage look. For this one, we’ll be utilizing Milk Makeup’s freshest establishment, the Blur Liquid Matte Foundation, which is significantly more hazy than the skin tint.
Begin with Milk Makeup’s Blur Stick, a convenient little stick groundwork that eliminates shine and wipes out pores. This gives you an extremely smooth, matte base to work with. Next, apply the Blur Liquid Matte foundation, ideally with the includes Dab + Blend Applicator (this encourages everything go on easily – a Beautyblender is a decent choice too). Later, conceal and issue territories with the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer, a marginally thicker concealer than the first concealer. Lastly, complete up by spritzing your face with the Blur Spray, another enchantment mixture that eliminates shine and limits pores.
Within these two makeup looks, one is right for you! At the end of the day, it all comes down to the kind of look you want, be it fresh-faced and glowy or a more dramatic fuller coverage look. Also, Milk Makeup’s cosmetics are such great materials to use since the brand avoids harsh chemicals and uses vegan, cruelty-free formulas.
